New audiovisual fund created

20/11/2009 - This week, the Malta Film Commission (MFC) together with the country’s Ministry for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport (MEDC) launched a new film fund that will disburse €233,000 for shorts, documentaries, and feature films.
“The aim of the fund is to encourage the professional development of local productions,” said Malta Film Commissioner Luisa Bonello. “Therefore, there has to be a Maltese production company involved”.
The deadline to apply for funding is March 1, 2010, and results will be announced in April. Guidelines and applications forms can be downloaded here.
