The call for projects is open for the Strasbourg Alentours Forum

Film and audiovisual professionals are invited to Strasbourg from 2-4 July for the new edition of the Alentours Forum – Rhine Co-production Gathering. This event has become a must-attend gathering in the field of film and audiovisual co-production involving Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg, and it promises yet another enriching experience this year.

The Alentours Forum reinvents itself with a condensed, two-and-a-half-day format, featuring pitching sessions, one-on-one meetings and round-table discussions. This dynamic approach will facilitate exchanges among industry professionals, creating a fertile ground for new cross-border collaborations.

Producers seeking co-production partners in neighbouring countries are invited to submit their in-development projects before 24 March. Over 20 French- and German-language projects will be selected to appear in the bilingual (FR/DE) forum catalogue. Project holders will also have the opportunity to present their ideas on 3 July in Strasbourg before an audience of producers and funders.

To participate, consult the regulations and submit your project (in French) via the website.

In addition, producers eligible for the CinEuro Prize can submit their projects before 29 February. Each year, this award recognises two co-production projects (one fiction and one documentary) in development that address themes related to the connections between partner territories, in all their different facets. The selected teams will have the opportunity to pitch their projects at the forum, and the winners will be honoured during an informal evening at ARTE.

Industry professionals who wish to participate without a project can register now. They will have the opportunity to attend various programming sessions, one-on-one meetings and other informal networking events.

The Alentours Forum – Rhine Co-production Gathering is co-organised by the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg, the Grand Est Region and the Medien-und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg, as part of the INTERREG CinEuro project. This collaboration also benefits from the support of the Creative Europe offices of the neighbouring countries (Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and MEDIA Desk Switzerland) and ARTE GEIE.
