14, FABIAN ROAD

by Jaime de Armiñán

synopsis

Argentinean writer Camila Ponte is in the middle of a book tour for her first, hugely successful novel when one day, a strange woman, Vega, says she's been sent to accompany Camila back to her hotel. What actually unfolds is a unique kidnapping that includes no ransom or liberation date, and which the victim seems to accept. A complex relationship develops between the Camila and Vega - ranging from suspicion and distrust to love and hate, from violence to tenderness - as the latter Vega seeks revenge to heal an old wound.
