synopsis

Céline, a kid of 15, has run away from her legal guardians’ house. She has found refuge in the outbuilding of a bourgeois house, unbeknownst to its owners, Judge Van Eyck and his wife. She is discovered one evening and gets them to agree to let her stay. Day after day, she strives to win the heart of her new hosts, until a series of revelations lead the couple to doubt she is there by mere accident…
