BECK- IN THE EYE OF THE STORM

by Harald Hamrell

synopsis

The charred body of a woman is discovered in an old industrial zone. The Swedish security services (Säpo) are in charge of the investigation and dissemble the identity of the dead woman. At the same time, Säpo pay a call on Beck; they are looking for Gunvald. The dead woman had met Gunvald the same day she was murdered and the two had exchanged text messages shortly before she died. There is an international police warrant for the woman who was a member of a known environmental organisation whose actions are carried out world wide. What was the woman doing in Sweden? Why did she contact Gunvald? Is an attack being planned here? Gunvald is obliged to avoid Säpo and, for personal reasons, takes up the hunt for her murderer on his own...
