KNIFER

by Yannis Economides

synopsis

Niko is an average guy without any ambitions, living in rural Greece. His father’s sudden death reunites him with his uncle who invites him to live and work at his house in the outskirts of Athens. Not having much to lose, Niko takes his chances accepting his uncle’s offer. He takes on the job of protecting his uncle’s purebred dogs from the hostile neighbors. Driven by envy, lust and anger, Niko merges into a vicious circle of perpetual antagonism, the struggle for power over others and discontent.
