synopsis

Konrad, the unconventional father of Käthe and Emma, has stayed home for the past few years while his wife Christine has had a successful career as an anesthetist. He has become the central figure in the lives of his daughters and the glue, so to speak, that holds the family together. The entrenched roles they play are put to the test when Konrad has the chance to direct a play again. His comeback. To cope with the new situation, Konrad and Christine decide to hire Christine, an au-pair girl from Argentina. But she turns out to be the exact opposite of help...
