synopsis

Three women are foud dead in different places during one summer month. As all their faces are destroyed by acid, the police suspect a serrial killer. Martin Beck and his colleagues have no real leads. While Beck's total concentration is needed for the investigation he suddenly finds himself in a private crisis due to stress and heart problems.
