THE MEDICINE SELLER

by Antonio Morabito

synopsis

A film about the social and power relations typical of present-day Italy, narrated through the life of Bruno, a medical sales representative ready to do anything – to corrupt, to deceive, to betray the faith of those who are close to him – in order to keep his job and his affluent lifestyle. Bruno, apparently a monster, is only the result of the society surrounding him: he incarnates its contradictions, its anxiety, its corruption, its impunity.
