CHARRITON'S CHOIR
by Grigoris Karantinakis
synopsis
It is the spring of ’68. A small country is in turmoil. Everyone’s life revolves around the regional Annual Choir Contest, which, for a half a century, has been the focus of the town’s existence. The charismatic high school principal Chariton leads the school choir in his own magical way. The arrival of the new and ambitious military commander Major Dimitriou to reinstate ‘order and security’ among the residents, will sparkle a conflict between the two men for the fair Helen, the beautiful maths teacher, billiards and, of course, music.
