PAR SUITE D'UN ARRÊT DE TRAVAIL...

by Frédéric Andrei

synopsis

A public services and transport strike paralyses the whole of France. At the Gare de Lyon train station in Paris, Marc Roux – an ambitious executive – is angry about the fact there is no train to Rome where, the following morning, he is expected to sign a contract that will be decisive for his career. On the railway platform, he encounters Vincent Disse, a disconcerting character who remains unruffled despite the chaos. In order to try and arrive on time at their destination, the two strangers share the steering wheel and engage in conversation during an impromptu car share. Marc and Vincent’s sharing doesn’t go beyond the car: one is an advocate of economic liberalism and the other believes that striking is a fundamental right.
