PRESENTLY

by Antonis Kaloyannis

synopsis

Watching the hero set foot on the island, it’s hard to imagine that this special “human being” can overturn events and situations that have been plaguing the islanders for years. The hero is acquainted with Heraklis’ family. Heraklis has closed his taverna, his daughter has left home to follow a rich kid, while his young son suffers from an incurable illness. On the occasion of the feast of Aghion Anargyron, the hero urges Heraklis to re-open his taverna, while the daughter falls in love with him. On the day of the feast, badly beaten up by the rich kid’s buddies, he “takes” the boy’s illness and leads the daughter to find the miraculous water. Everything on the island appears more beautiful as the hero leaves on his next mission...
