A History of Israeli Cinema is a film in two parts. The first part, dealing with the period from 1933 to 1978, starts with the Zionist movement and ends with the first cinematic revisiting of that early part of history. The second part deals with filmmaking in Israel from 1978 to 2005: from the beginning of a wave of political films to the more recent personal cinema.
