Jan Speckenbach

Jan Speckenbach was born in 1970 in Münster, Germany. In 2005 he began a course in Film Directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. His first short film GESTERN IN EDEN premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2008 in the official student competition. SPATZEN was also shown in Cannes and after numerous appearances at festivals it qualified for the Best Short Film Oscar in 2011. DIE VERMISSTEN (REPORTED MISSING) is his first feature film, screened at the Berlinale 2012. (Source : Berlin Film Festival)
