Constantin posts modest first semester results
The group Constantin Film AG has published lacklustre results for the first semester of 2009, with a turnover of €95.5m compared to €110.3m for the same period last year. This represents an expected decline of 13%.
The leading German company’s net profit thus amounts to only €0.6m, compared to €9.1m for the first semester of 2008. The most affected areas are film and video.
With its productions and co-productions, Constantin made a turnover of €82.4m (€85.9m for the first semester of 2008). The result for foreign co-productions is €13.1m (compared to €24.4m last year).
