Loose Cannons wins Golden Globes

The foreign press in Italy has chosen Loose Cannons as Best Film of the year. Ferzan Ozpetek’s comedy, produced Fandango and RAI Cinema and sold to 27 countries so far, triumphed at last night’s Golden Globes ceremony with three more prizes: Best Screenplay, Cinematography and Emerging Actress (Nicole Grimaudo).

Other top awards include Best Director, to Giuseppe Tornatore for Baaria; Best Feature Debut to Rocco Papaleo’s Basilicata Coast to Coast; and the Foreign Press Grand Prize to The Man Who Will Come by Giorgio Diritti.
