A study commissioned by the European Commission as part of the European Union’s digital strategy has just been published. This study analyses the problems of multi-territorial licences for audiovisual works in Europe. The study underlines the necessity for the MEDIA Programme to continue to encourage film subtitling and dubbing and become better synchronised with other European programmes and projects which help promote the development of digital distribution of content.
