, a tragicomedy set against the backdrop of the country’s situation, which won’t hit Greek theatres until February 2012.

Originally intended to be shot in Germany and in the end shot in Greece due to the economic crisis, the film centres on Sotiris (Antonis Kafetzopoulos), a very unusual police interrogator who one day decides to forgive all those who are treated unfairly in life, going as far as risking his own career by murdering a corrupt colleague. The crime, which has only one eyewitness, Dora (TheodoraTzimou), a lonely cleaning lady with a difficult living situation, brings the two characters closer together, as they are torn between love, honesty and justice with the resulting existential confusion.

Taking a tragicomic look at life’s situations, Unfair World reflects on the ethics and morals in the current era through a society which, like Greek society, is undergoing a serious crisis and where, according to the director, there are enough good people lost in an unethical ocean but they don’t act or protest, remaining silent in the face of power.

With a predominantly artificial visual style, from the beginning the stylistic references with which Tsitos works are very clear: the influence of Aki Kaurismäki’s creative world, Romanian director Corneliu Poromboiu’s Police, Adjective [+see also:
