Beaune Jury Award goes to Norwegian Headhunters

- While the grand winner at the Beaune Crime Film Festival was American production Margin Call, it also honoured Norwegian, British, and Italian films.

While the Grand Prix at the fourth International Crime Film Festival in Beaune yesterday went to American feature film Margin Call by J.C.Chandor (distribution in France by ARP Sélection on May 2), European productions swept up the rest of the awards.

by Norwegian director Morten Tyldum, a German co-production unveiled in Locarno that went to Toronto, was a big hit in Scandinavian countries, and for whom Summit has acquired the rights for a remake. The film tells of the misadventures of a gallery-owner’s husband, an estimated member of a headhunting agency, who seems to lead an ideal life. But in reality, he regularly steals works of art to maintain his lifestyle. When he meets the owner of a Rubens painting, he starts to plan the greatest coup of his lifetime...
