Want to defend Earth against Nazi invaders from the Moon?

, will not be left in space – they are preparing both a three-part mini prequel series and a feature sequel, Iron Sky II – and Topware Interactive will shortly release the official video game, Iron Sky: Invasion.

An alternative take on history, the film follows a large group of Nazis who flee to the dark side of the Moon prior to losing World War II. After 70 years, having constructed a massive armada of flying saucers, they are poised to attack the unsuspecting Earth.

Created by Polish video game developer Reality Pump – which is credited for, among others, Earth 2150, World War III: Black Gold, Earth 2160 and Two Worlds - Iron Sky: Invasion will be launched on November 7 for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

The new game puts the player in the pilot seat of defending Earth from the triumphant return of Germany's Third Reich. Although a space simulator, it contains a major theme of politics: choose your friends and, more importantly, your enemies, very carefully.

Reality Pump has developed the game in close collaboration with the filmmakers. "We always needed a proper video game around the franchise, to examine the whole complexity of the Iron Sky world," explained Timo Vuorensola, himself an avid video-gamer. "I think we found it."
