Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission said, “Lilting is a moving cinematic achievement. It is a testament to Microwave's innovative approach to film-making that its projects attract high-calibre talent and prestigious commercial distributors and sales agents.”

Produced by Dominic BuchananLilting is the eighth film from Microwave. Michael Winterbottom acted as writer/director Khaou’s mentor, while Buchanan received guidance from Ken Marshall, the producer of London to Brighton [+see also:

Meanwhile Film London has announced Deborah Sathe as its new Head of Talent Development and Production. She will be responsible for production schemes, including Microwave, and training initiatives. Sathe was previously with BBC Drama where she was a Digital Drama Producer.

David Parfitt, Chair of Film London, said, “This is an exciting time to invigorate Film London’s production strategy, our central aim remains to discover and nurture new talent in the capital and give them to tools and the training to kick start careers. I am very pleased to welcome Deborah to the team and think her experience will ensure Film London continues to lead the way in supporting new talent.”
