The next Rome International Film Festival will have a comedic opening. L'ultima ruota del carro by Giovanni Veronesi, running out of competition, will mark the beginning of the eight edition of the Roman event, directed by Marco Müller, running from November 8-17 at the Parco della Musica auditorium.

The film stars Elio Germano playing Ernesto, a mover, who for forty years has travelled around Italy with his lorry. Through his eyes, the film gives an ironic take on the country, from the 1970s to the present day, including Italians’ qualities and vices.
