Good deals ahead at the European Film Market of the 64^th Berlinale (February 6 to 16, 2014) for the French international sales company Les Films du Losange, managed by Margaret Menegoz. The line-up notably features If You Don't, I Will [+see also:

film profile] by Sophie Fillières (read the article) which will have its international premiere on Monday, February 10^th in the Panorama section, starring Emmanuelle Devos and Mathieu Amalric.

The team managed by Agathe Valentin will unveil a first promo reel at the market for two titles in post-production, which will be ready in spring: 1001 Grams [+see also:

film profile] by Norwegian director Bent Hamer (with Ane Dahl Torp and Laurent Stocker for a film already pre-purchased for Scandinavia, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and Geronimo by Tony Gatlif with Céline Salette and Raphaël Personnaz who attempt to calm a conflict between gypsies and Turks in the French countryside, after tension arises because of a Romeo and Juliet style love story between two teenagers from these communities.  

Also in the line-up, Amnesia by Barbet Schroeder, a co-production between Switzerland (Vega Film) and France (Les Films du Losange) whose filming is scheduled for May-June with Marthe Keller and Max Riemelt in the cast. The film will be set in Ibiza and follows the story of a woman who promised herself in 1936 to never set foot again in her homeland: Germany. But 60 years later, her encounter with a young musician from Berlin will make her reconsider her promise.

Les Films du Losange will also launch the pre-sales for their production Childhood [+see also:

film profile] by Philippe Claudel (I’ve Loved You So Long [+see also:

The screenplay focuses on a turbulent 13-year-old teenager who is forced to grow-up too fast and is stuck in his small town between a mother who is losing it and a step dad who keeps her head under water. Filming will take place from June to August with Angelica Sarre, Pierre Deladonchamps and Patrick D'Assumçao in the cast.

It is also worth noting The Days Come by Romain Goupil (article), currently in filming with the director himself, Noémie Lvovsky, Marina Hands and Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi in the cast.

Finally, a re-mastered version of Baal (1979) by German director Volker Schlöndorf will be screened in the Berlinale Special section.
