Andrea Occhipinti of Lucky Red announced the purchase at the American Film Market of distribution rights in Italy for Stephen Frears’ next film, Florence Foster Jenkins, a biopic in which we see a tone-deaf Meryl Streep as the US soprano of the movie. Jenkins became famous, in the first half of the 20th century, for her absolute lack of singing ability. Alongside the Oscar-winning actress is Hugh Grant as the singer’s young opportunist husband.
