Vanja Kaludjercic has been appointed as the new head of the Holland Film Meeting (HFM), replacing Signe Zeilich-Jensen, who stepped down from the position last September.

“These are exciting times for the Dutch film industry. Outstanding emerging talent and substantial co-production opportunities make it a fertile ground to continue developing HFM as an important meeting place for both the local and the international film industry,” stated Kaludjercic.

Netherlands Film Festival director Willemien van Aalst added: “I am very pleased that Vanja Kaludjercic is joining our festival team as head of the Holland Film Meeting. Since its inception in 1988, the HFM has stimulated a high level of co-production activity between many of Europe’s leading representatives from the finance, production, sales and distribution industries. I am convinced that with her talent, experience and global network, Vanja will build on the efforts of her highly respected predecessors and will bring the HFM to the next level.”

The HFM is the international arm of the Netherlands Film Festival. Each year, it hosts around 20 film projects to be pitched to the financiers, distributors, sales agents and producers in attendance. The next edition will be held from 22-25 September 2016.
