) and Albert Sánchez Piñol, and is based on his book, which has been translated into almost 40 languages. It recounts the story of a man who used to be an Irish guerrilla and who accepts a job as a meteorologist. He arrives on a small island, slap bang in the middle of the ocean and miles away from any shipping routes.
