Headed up by Klaudia Androsovits, the international sales team of the Hungarian National Film Fund will descend on the European Film Market of the 68th Berlin Film Festival (15-25 February 2018) with a real ace up its sleeve, in the shape of Genesis [+see also:

The second feature by the filmmaker, who rose to prominence in the same section of Berlin 11 years ago with his feature debut, Happy New Life [+see also:

Genesis provides a dramatic depiction of sin, catharsis and rebirth. The story is formed around the fate of a young Roma boy, whose childhood reaches a sudden and drastic end when he loses his family in a tragic and brutal attack. Produced by Mirage Film and FocusFox, the film will be out in Hungarian theatres next April.

Also standing out on HNFF World Sales’ line-up is My 20th Century by Ildikó Enyedi, which will be presented in the Berlinale Classics programme. The film, which won the Caméra d'Or at Cannes in 1989, is the feature debut by the director, who scooped the Golden Bear at Berlin last year with On Body and Soul [+see also:
