by Raymond Depardon won awards at the third edition of Vive le cinéma, a French film festival held in Lecce last week.

Promoted by the Region of Puglia, financed by Apulia Film Commission and conceived and directed by Alessandro Valenti, Angelo Laudisa and Brizia Minerva, the festival screened five days of feature films, short films and documentaries, as well as hosting masterclasses, meetings and presentations. A colourful addition: before the awards ceremony, the French guests watched the World Cup final, celebrating the national team’s victory.

The feature film jury, chaired by François Ozon and composed of the actress Anaïs Demoustier, the director and screenwriter Sebastiano Rice and the costume designer Pascaline Chavanne awarded Thierry de Peretti’s A Violent Life, a film that – as the director announced – will soon be distributed in Italian cinemas with Kitchen Film. The jury also awarded a special mention to Laëtitia Clément and Rod Paradot, the young protagonists of Luna [+see also:

The short film and documentary jury, chaired by the actress Vimala Pons and composed of the actress Lolita Chammah, the director, screenwriter and producer Leonardo Guerra Seragnoli and the producers Alain Benguigui and Ilaria Castiglioni, awarded the tied award for Best Documentary to Plot 35 by Eric Caravaca and 12 Days by Raymond Depardon and the Best Short Film Award to the animated short film Pépé le Morse by Lucrèce Andreae. The Special Award for the Film with the Best Social Impact, awarded by Caritas, Casa della Carità and Azione Cattolica, went to To the Four Winds [+see also:
