The Immortals on parade

by

November will mark the debut in theatres of the new film by Antonio-Pedro Vasconcelos, The Immortals. The movie stars Joaquim de Almeida, Nicolau Breyner, Rogério Samora, Rui Unas, Emmanuelle Seigner, Ana Padrão, Alexandra Lencastre, Maria Rueff and Joaquim Nicolau, and it is the story of four former soldiers, who are 'tired of the boredom of the country', and of their lives, and so decide to rob a bank.

The film is set in 1985, but Vasconcelos frequently uses 'flashbacks' to go to back to the 1970s, during the colonial conflict in Africa, when the four men first met.
It is an European Co-production with funding from Fado Filmes and Animatografo (Portugal), Dan Films (UK) and Samsa Film (Luxembourg).
