) based on the bestseller On est toujours trop bon avec les femmes, published in 1947 by French actor Raymond Queneau (1903-1976) under the pen name Sally Mara. Novels by Queneau that have been brought to the big screen in the past include Zazie dans le métro (on two occasions, the first being directed by Louis Malle in 1960) and this very work, a French-Italian flick from 1971 helmed by Michel Boisrond. However, this time around, it will be a “story with a different focus, which, from a satirical, wistful and humorous standpoint, will address important topics in a breezy style”, according to the producers.

The plot introduces us to Remedios Buendía (played by Carmen Machi), who fiercely defends her homeland and will fight for it above all else. However, one fateful day in autumn 1945, a group of Maquis (an antifascist guerrilla organisation) on the run has the unfortunate idea of capturing the post office where she is excitedly trying on her wedding dress. This will be the day when Remedios will prove how far she can go to stand up for her values. And nobody will be able to stop her.

As for the crew, the DoP is Imanol Nabea (Ilargi Guztiak. Todas las lunas [+see also:
