07/11/2023 - The network's members will delve into case studies showcasing recent European and international documentaries released in the past year

On Monday November 13 Europa Distribution will hold a workshop dedicated to the distribution of documentaries at the IDFA - International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. More than 25 independent distributors, all members of the European Network of Independent Film Publishers and Distributors will participate in a session organised in collaboration with IDFA as part of their Industry Programme. During this workshop, Europa Distribution’s members will delve into case studies showcasing recent European and international documentaries released in the past year.

On this occasion, distributors Sabine Hoffman (Polyfilm, Austria), Andrea Romeo (I Wonder Pictures, Italy), Thomas Vriesema (Cinéart, The Netherlands), Johanna Mayer (Jour2fête, France) and Gustė Laukaitytė (Greta Garbo Films, Lithuania) will share their experience regarding their publishing work, release strategies and promotional campaigns for several documentaries released recently. They will present detailed analysis, focusing on audience targeting and admissions results, marketing campaigns and partnerships, theatrical exploitation and/or VOD releases, on the following films: Kaouther Ben Hania's Four Daughters [+see also:

Thanks to the Europa Distribution – IDFA partnership, attending distributors will also participate in the IDFA activities, including works in progress and special screenings, meetings and networking events, looking for the next documentaries to release.
