), the script centres on Sarah, in her forties and on the verge of a burnout. Her sons aged 9 and 5 take up all of her time, with her husband constantly away on work trips. After disappearing for a few minutes on the beach, her eldest son, Simon, starts acting strange. He spends hours in his bath and tries to be in contact with water whenever he can. Sarah’s life will change when her son tells her the truth…

Produced by Marine Bergère and Romain Daubeach for Mamma Roman, Dans l’eau was pre-bought by Canal+ and Ciné+. Also supported by the Grand Est region (as part of the "Frissons" scheme), by the CNC’s selective support to digital special effects, and by the Indéfilms and Cinéaxe Soficas, the feature film benefited from 27 days of filming (four days on the Île de Ré, four weeks in Metz and three days in a country house some twenty kilometers from Nancy) with Ludovic Zuili as director of photography. French distribution will be handled by Tandem and international sales by Playtime.

For the record, Mamma Roman is currently behind the title Les Pistolets en plastique by Jean-Christophe Meurisse (read the news), in post-production, and Vatos Locos Productions (Marine Bergère and Romain Daubeach’s other company) will be launching Salem [+see also:
