Europa Distribution goes to Cartoon Movie

Europa Distribution goes on with its various events and activities, renewing this time its long and fruitful collaboration with Cartoon Movie (5-7 March). This partnership, established 15 years ago, aims to facilitate the access for independent film publishers and distributors to the most important market and pitching event dedicated to European animated films. It is also an important opportunity for the European network to focus on its members’ release strategies, promotional campaigns and innovative initiatives, in this case with a focus on animation.

by Toby Genkel, among others. The activity in Cartoon Movie provides distributors from a diverse range of countries with the opportunity to meet, network, share best practices and acquisition strategies and discuss the latest developments in animation.

This lab targets primarily the numerous members of the network attending the event; distributors who are attending Cartoon Movie and are not members and would wish to participate, can reach Europa Distribution here.

In the coming months, Europa Distribution will continue its discussions on the unique challenges faced in the circulation, release and promotion of independent European films. Europa Distribution will hold a training dedicated to communication and negotiation, followed by a common working session with exhibitors from Europa Cinemas at the Sofia Meetings from 20-24 March, the closing session for the EDMS mentorship programme in Brussels on 12 April and a panel and lab focusing on Asian releases in the scope of Focus Asia, Udine from 29 April – 1 May.
