CANNES 2005 Events

19 Producers on The Move on the Croisette

by

10 female and 9 male producers from 19 European countries will make up the 2005 contingent Producers on the Move which the European Film Promotion (EFP) brings to the Croisette for the 58e Cannes Film Festival. From the 13th to 16th of May, the 19 selected will have the opportunity to participate in a number of events, notably a co-production meal bringing together 100 European producers and a "pitch" session. Elsewhere, the Producers Network, put together by The Film Market at Cannes will welcome the new Producers on the Move to a presentation of all the participants of Network. Launched in 2000 and supported by le Programme Media of the EU, this EFP initiative aims to bring into sharper focus the job of the producer and promising personalities. Those selected were chosen by member organisations for their success in their home country, foreign sales and appearance at a festival of a film that he or she produced. Those selected this year are: Holland Film, the ICAA Spanishl, Unifrance, A.I.P. Filmitalia, the Danish Film Institute, the British Film Council, the Irish Film Board, the Icelandic Film Centre, the Finnish Film Foundation, German Films, Magyar Filmunio, the Swedish Film Institute, the Greek Film Centre, the Norwegian Film Institute, the Czech Film Center, the Film Fund Luxembourg, Baltic Films, the ICAM Portuguese and the Slovenian Film Fund.
