Fontaine's approach to the story of Claire, a young woman (Isabelle Carré) falling for the wrong guy (Benoît Poelvoorde), is not overwhelming but manages to keep our attention up to the point of the story when Claire's suspicions are revealed to be truth. A female director telling a story from a female point of view, with Isabelle Carré appearing on the screen as an unexpected evocation of the Hitchcock blond, elegant and distant, fighting with her self-control and her instincts. Opposite her, Poelvoorde's performance is sombre and miles away from the typicalyl expansive comic characters that made him popular. However, worth underlining, Entre ses mains is a love story, or it’s meant to be, where, according to the director, Carré's character has to live this love to the bitter end, so that, finally, she can feel reinforced in her femininity.

Entre ses mains was co-produced by Soudaine Compagnie, Ciné B and K2/K-Star in association with Sofica EuropaCorp, Banque Populaire Images 5, le CRRAV Nord-Pas de Calais and the Walloon region, with the participation of Canal + and TPS. Distributed in France this week, the world sales are handled by Pathé Distribution.
