Discovered at its world premiere at Berlin, where its director won a Bronze Bear, Vitus was screened in competition at Setúbal, as part of a homage to Bruno Ganz at the Montreal World Film Festival and at Locarno this year.

The film is currently being shown at San Sebastian and will shortly be presented at the first edition of the Rome International Film Festival (October 13-26).

The film – whose French release is in January – has been sold to over 30 countries: in Europe (France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Scandinavia and Israel), Asia (Japan, China, Korea) and America (US, Mexico, Brazil).
