The pre-inauguration of the RomeFilmFest (October 13-21) will take place tomorrow at the Casa del Cinema with an homage toMarcello Mastroianni: the inauguration of a retrospective dedicated to the man who made Italian cinema infamous throughout the world.

Ten years after his death (on December 19, 1996 in France), the tribute to one of the Italy’s greatest actors is made up of 48 films, 15 hours of television footage, two conferences, a book and a photo exhibit.

"L’eccezionalità di essere normali" (“The exceptionalness of being normal”) is the title of the retrospective, which could begin with none other than La dolce vita and 8 1/2 by Federico Fellini and end with Mastroianni’s final film, the 1997 documentary I Remember, Yes I Remember by Anna Maria Tatò.

Entrance to the events is free and the complete programme can be found on Rome’s Casa del Cinema website.
