Azur sees life in green-white-red

by

New distribution outfit Azur Film hopes to increase German filmgoers’ access to Italian cinema. The company, run by Swiss distributor Luca Morandini and exhibitor Daniel Schmid, will primarily distribute original version films.

Azur plans to distribute its first Italian film, Anplagghed by Rinaldo Gaspari, in December. Its release will also be another first, as the unusual Italian film is the first theatrical piece (written by comic trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo and directed by Arturo Brachetti) to be shot during its Italian tour in Dolby Digital and with high definition television cameras before being brought to the big screen.
