He is in fact a recognized pioneer in HDTV (high-definition television) technology.
In the interview, he talks about digital cinema referring to Kafka, the film he produced in 1992, using a high definition technology in "analog".
He describes the shooting, done in a small studio with all artificial components, and how he became aware of the need to involve computer graphics to create elements that could not be photographed in reality.
He considered the film as an occasion to acquire knowledge and new experiences, which led him to study new sciences, guiding him to make something contemporary and extra ordinal.
