Bulgaria’s biggest film event, the Sofia International Film Festival, will kick off its 22nd edition on 7 March with the first national screening of Milko Lazarov’s Ága [+lee también:

, the first Bulgarian feature selected as a closing film for the Berlinale.

The festival’s competition will, as always, include 12 first and second features competing for the “Sofia City of Film” Grand Prix, the winner of which will be announced on 17 March. Bulgaria is represented by Ilian Metev’s first fiction feature, ¾ [+lee también:

The festival’s Sofia edition will end on 18 March, with smaller editions being hosted in the cities of Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna until 29 March.
