Don’t mess with a winning formula: the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris, hosting the biggest markets and press junkets in the world dedicated to the French film and audiovisual sector, is back with its 26th edition and is gearing up to kick off tomorrow.

Stealing focus on the agenda taking us up to 23 January are the Export Day panel discussions, taking place tomorrow, and the two markets unfolding from 17 to 19 January, involving 420 buyers (hailing from close to 50 countries) and 47 French agencies on the film side, and over 100 buyers and 62 French export companies for audiovisual works. What’s more, unfolding between 20 and 23 January, the press junket will see close to 130 international journalists meeting as many French artists (filmmakers, actors, showrunners, etc.) heavily associated with works scheduled to be broadcast abroad in 2024. And that’s without forgetting events such as the awarding of the French Cinema Prize to actor Melvil Poupaud, the unveiling of the 2024 class of 10 to Watch (young talent in French film) and the launch of the 14th MyFrenchFilmFestival (read our news).

Among the 55 films in market premieres (out of a total 75 feature films screened at the event), Pyramide International are set to steal focus with Pascal Bonitzer’s Auction (set to open the Unifrance Rendez-Vous), Karim Dridi’s Revivre, and the documentaries The Man With a Thousand Faces by Sonia Kronlund and The Beauty from Gaza by Yolande Zauberman.

Playtime will be wagering on The Green Deal by Édouard Bergeon (read our article), It’s Raining Men by Caroline Vignal, Molière’s Last Stage by Olivier Py and Headwind by Pierre Godeau.

Charades will be placing its bets on five premieres in the form of Game Changers by Jérémie Sein, Lucky Winners by Maxime Govare and Romain Choay, Borgo [+lee también:

ficha de la película] by Stéphane Demoustier, A Good Jewish Boy by Noé Debré and Just a Couple of Days by Julie Navarro, and will also be negotiating on behalf of its post-production titles And Their Children After Them by Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma (article), and Meet the Barbarians by Julie Delpy (article).

Orange Studio are set to unveil Chasing Johnny by Baptiste Debraux (article), Like a Prince by Ali Marhyar and Madame de Sévigné by Isabelle Brocard.

ficha de la película] as well as for Alexandre Charlot and Franck Magnier’s King of My Castle, and will also be kicking off presales on Out of Control (working title) by Anne Le Ny (starring Omar Sy and Élodie Bouchez in lead roles), based on its script.

Le Pacte will be showcasing Latin For All by Émilie Noblet and Striking the Palace by Nessim Chikhaoui.

Be For Films are likewise in on the action with Stéphane Marchetti’s Winter Crossing and Julien Carpentier’s This Is My Mother [+lee también:

WTFilms will be pinning their hopes on spine-tingling movies The Soul Eater by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, and Don’t Watch by Abel Danan.

France tv distribution, meanwhile, are set to unveil Jean-Michel Bertrand’s documentary Living With Wolves and Jeanne Gottesdiener’s Christmas Carole.

Gaumont, which will be counting on premieres of Give A Little Beat, directed by and starring Laurence Arné (with Dany Boon also gracing the cast), Phantom Youth [+lee también:

ficha de la película] by Luàna Bajrami, Cat & Dog – The Great Crossing by Reem Kherici and Almost Legal by Max Mauroux, are also set to unveil a promo reel for Night Call by Belgium’s Michiel Blanchart and will further be negotiating on behalf of their other post-production titles, including Black Tea by Abderrahmane Sissako, Moon The Panda by Gilles de Maistre and In The Sub For Love by Lucas Bernard.

Pathé Films are set to screen Fred Cavayé’s This Is the Goat! while Elle Driver will present Arnaud des Pallières’ Party of Fools [+lee también:

Other Angle Pictures will be wagering on four market premieres: Fallen from the Truck by Philippe Pollet-Villard, Sirens by Adeline Picault, Her and Him and the Rest of the World by Emmanuelle Belohradsky and My Motherland by Benoît Cohen.

Mediawan Rights will also be in attendance with Olivier Abbou’s Drone Games and Rudy Milstein’s We Can Be Heroes.

Newen Connect will be offering up Karaoké by Stéphane Ben Lahcene, Meet the Leroys by Florent Bernard and Here & There by Ludovic Bernard.

New sales agent Ginger & Fed (linked to Fédération Studios) will unveil Rachel’s Game by Thierry Klifa and Oldies but Goodies by Claude Zidi Jr.

Wild Bunch International (not to be confused with Goodfellas) will unveil 14 Days to Feel Better by Édouard Pluvieux and Maybe More by Olivier Ducray and Wilfried Méance.

Last but not least, Romeo Drive Productions are set to screen The Child Who Measured the World by Takis Candilis, while Les films du clan will be counting on Paternel by Ronan Tronchot, Wide on Green Retreat by Yohann Charrin and Pulsar Content on an undisclosed market premiere.

The full repertoire of French international sales agents will be in action at the film market hosted by the 26th UniFrance Rendez-Vous in Paris, notably Kinology, Goodfellas, mk2 Films, The Party Film Sales, Les Films du Losange and Best Friend Forever. In terms of French TV Screenings, the line-ups of France tv distribution, Arte Distribution, Newen Connect, Federation Studios (spearheaded by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade’s series Sambre), Mediawan Rights (which will notably be wagering on Vincent Maël Cardona’s series Grace of Heaven), Balanga, Oble and Have A Good One are all set to be presented.
