GREEN PARADISE

by Emmanuel Bourdieu

synopsis

Isabelle and Simon, both thirty, come from the same little village in France’s Béarn region and were meant for one another. But something made their union impossible. Nearly ten years have gone by. Simon is still single and has taken over his father’s property. Isabelle has gone to Paris and got married. Lucas, their childhood friend, returns to his hometown to complete an inquiry into people living alone in rural areas. Convinced that his two friends still love each other, he’s determined to bring them together again. But he’s unaware of one important thing: Isabelle is presently in love with him, and by searching for the fantasy of the "green paradise of childhood loves", he will quite possibly pass by his own life.
