synopsis

Joyeux , a young African boy, and his father Amadou have immigrated illegally to Belgium. When Amadou is caught and detained, Joyeux decides to pursue the fairytale his father once told him of the Hotel Swooni: a place where everyone is happy — and where Joyeux and Amdou could be happy too. As Joyeux enters the hotel, he quickly learns that it may not be as welcoming as his father had promised...
