"At first, I couldn’t believe it. I thought that other people didn’t see me because they took no notice of me, because they didn’t find me interesting, because deep down, I was worthless. But afterwards, I realised that, at times, I really became invisible. I was there and people couldn’t see me anymore! Something unheard of was happening to me."
