MEMORY BOOKS

by Christa Graf

synopsis

If no radical measures are taken to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, it is very likely that up to 40 million children will be without parents by 2010. Uganda is the one country in Africa that has had the most success in stemming the spread of AIDS. At the same time, it is the one country in the world with the most orphans as a result of AIDS: an estimated two million. When the parents die, the children must care for one another.
