TEMPORARY RELEASE

by Erik Clausen

synopsis

John, a career criminal in his early fifties, is serving time in Vestre Fængsel. His son is getting married and he is legally entitled to attend the wedding escorted by a prison officer. The officer, a moonfaced fellow with a provincial background, has made a favourable impression on the warden. As the story unfolds, the two men are stripped down mentally. Step by step, we realize that the supposedly normal one of the two is actually far from it, and the other may not be such a bad character after all.
