by Anselma Dell’Olio, a portrait of the director of The Big Feast, won the award for Best Film about Cinemaand Pino Daniele - il tempo resterà by Giorgio Verdelli, about the amazing Neapolitan singer-songwriter, won the Spettacolo Award: these are the three winning films at the Nastri d’Argento Documentary Awards 2018, voted for by the SNGCI (National Union of Film Journalists) and dedicated to director and writer Folco Quilici, who passed away a few days ago.

, a tribute to Valentina Cortese by Francesco Patierno and La corsa de L’Ora byAntonio Bellia, on the history of militant and combative journalism at the Palermo-based newspaper tied for the Best Docufilm Award, joining a prize list which the SNGCI defines as "complex and full of suggestions and interesting observations."

The special awards for 2018 went to Dieci Storie proprio così by Emanuela Giordano, Giulia Minoli, and Sky Arte, for the “quality, originality and success of their content.” Two special awards also went to the protagonists of the documentaries in selection: Sandra Milo who plays herself in Salvatrice. Sandra Milo si racconta, directed by Giorgia Würth, and Marina Confalone for her performance in Il signor Rotpeter by Antonietta De Lillo

Ermanno Olmi received an honourable mention for Vedete, sono uno di voi, about Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, while Luigi Faccini received the Special Nastri Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to cinema from 1968 to 2018. Among the special mentions was The Duce's Boxer [+lire aussi :
