Verena S. Freytag

First studied at the Music Academy Stuttgart and then, from 1995 to 2000, Film and Television Direction at the dffb in Berlin. Since graduation she has worked as a freelance director’s assistant, line producer, scriptwriter and casting agent.

Her last two feature films were Karamuk (2002) and Sanyies Lust (2003), which garnered festival play and several awards at various international festivals.

In 2004 she won the German CIVIS Television Award in the Entertainment category for Karamuk. (German Films)
