Antoine Cuypers

Born in Liège in 1984, Antoine Cuypers is a Belgian scriptwriter and director. After graduating in journalism at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, he moved into directing in 2009 with Autonomie de la volonté, his first self-produced short. This silent, choreographed film won the Grand Prix at the Molodist Film Festival. In 2012, A New Old Story, his last short film with Arno, was nominated at the Magrittes for Belgian Cinema and had great success on the festival circuit. In Octobr 2015, Préjudice opened the 30th edition of the Namur FIFF and was released in Belgian cinemas at the same time, receiving a positive welcome from critics and audiences alike.
