Paula van der Oest

Netherlands, 1965. Won the prestigious Canon Award from the Norwegian Film Academy with her graduation film from the Dutch Film and Television Academy, Zinderend (1988).

In 2001 she directed her third feature film, Zus & Zo, a loose adaptation of Chekhov’s “The Three Sisters”, which became the sixth Dutch filmever to be nominated for a Best Foreign Language Oscar. (Taormina Film Festival)
